WickTap Risk Disclosure and Disclaimer

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Read this before you use WickTap or act on anything shown on https://wicktap.com. Trading futures can result in losses larger than the money you deposit. WickTap is a charting tool. It is not investment advice, it does not trade for you, and it does not tell you what to buy or sell.

1. Purpose and status of this document

1.1 This Risk Disclosure and Disclaimer ("Risk Disclosure") is issued by WickTap ("we", "us", "our"). It forms part of the WickTap Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Terms defined in the Terms have the same meaning here.

1.2 This Risk Disclosure does not list every risk. It highlights the main risks of trading futures and of using a technical-analysis tool, so that you can make an informed decision.

2. What WickTap is

2.1 WickTap is a Smart Money Concept technical-analysis indicator for TradingView. It marks market structure (CHoCH and BOS), IDM, Order Blocks (Decisional and Extreme), SCOB, EQH and EQL, Imbalance, and Premium and Discount zones. Its primary focus is FCPO (Crude Palm Oil Futures traded on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives). It may also be used on other futures markets, including Crude Oil, FKLI and Nasdaq, S&P 500 and Dow index futures.

2.2 WickTap does not place, execute or manage trades, does not connect to any trading account, and does not give buy, sell or hold signals, recommendations or advice.

3. Not investment advice, and not licensed under the CMSA

3.1 We do not hold a Capital Markets Services Licence and are not a registered person under the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 ("CMSA"). We are not licensed to give investment advice, to deal in derivatives, or to manage funds.

3.2 Nothing in WickTap, its Documentation, the Website, the Replays, our emails, WhatsApp messages, social media or any other communication from us is, or is intended to be:

  • (a) investment advice or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any securities or derivatives;
  • (b) an opinion on whether any trade suits your circumstances;
  • (c) an offer or solicitation to trade; or
  • (d) a research report or analysis prepared for your personal decision-making.

3.3 WickTap does not take into account your objectives, financial situation, experience, knowledge or needs. If you need advice, consult a person licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia.

3.4 We do not hold client money, do not act as a broker, and do not execute orders for anyone.

4. Risks of trading futures

4.1 High risk of loss. Trading futures, including FCPO and other commodity and index futures, is speculative and carries a high level of risk. It is not suitable for everyone. You should trade only with money you can afford to lose.

4.2 Leverage. Futures are traded on margin. A small deposit controls a much larger contract value, so a small price movement can cause a large gain or a large loss. Your losses can exceed the margin you have deposited, and you may be required to pay more money at short notice.

4.3 Margin calls and liquidation. If the market moves against you, your broker may require additional margin. If you do not pay it in time, your positions may be closed at a loss without further notice to you.

4.4 Volatility, gaps and price limits. Prices can move rapidly and can gap between sessions or after news. Exchanges may apply daily price limits or trading halts, during which you may be unable to exit a position. A stop order does not guarantee that you will exit at the stop price.

4.5 Liquidity and slippage. In thin or fast markets, orders may be filled at prices worse than expected, or not filled at all.

4.6 Contract expiry and rollover. Futures contracts expire. Price differences between contract months, and the way charts join contract months together, can affect what you see and the results you achieve.

4.7 Foreign markets and currency. Trading foreign futures exposes you to exchange-rate risk, different trading hours, and different rules and protections from those in Malaysia.

4.8 Costs. Commissions, exchange and clearing fees, data fees, platform fees and taxes reduce your returns, and can turn a gross profit into a net loss.

4.9 Regulatory and broker risk. Laws, exchange rules, margin requirements and broker terms can change. You must trade only through a broker that is properly licensed for the market you trade.

5. Risks specific to WickTap and technical analysis

5.1 Concepts are interpretive. SMC concepts are discretionary ways of reading price action. WickTap applies our own algorithmic rules to them. Other traders, tools and methods may label the same price action differently, and no labelling method is objectively "correct".

5.2 No accuracy guarantee. We do not guarantee that any marking, label, zone or level will be accurate, will hold, or will lead to any particular price movement. Markings can be wrong, can fail, and can produce false signals.

5.3 Repaint and real-time behaviour. Some elements of an indicator may be drawn, confirmed, moved or removed only after later price bars form, and the appearance of the current, unfinished bar may change until it closes. As a result, a historical chart can look cleaner and more accurate than what you would have seen in real time. WickTap's repaint and real-time behaviour will be described in the Documentation published at launch. You must read that description and understand it before relying on any marking.

5.4 Settings and timeframes. Results differ with settings, timeframes, markets and chart types. A configuration that appears to work on one market or period may not work on another.

5.5 Data and platform dependence. WickTap runs on TradingView and uses the market data available on your TradingView chart. That data may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, may differ from your broker's prices, and depends on your TradingView plan and exchange data subscriptions. TradingView outages, script changes, Pine Script updates, alert failures or account restrictions can stop WickTap from working or change what it shows.

5.6 Alerts and automation. If you use alerts based on WickTap, they may be delayed, duplicated or missed. We do not support automated order execution. If you connect WickTap outputs to any automated trading system, you do so entirely at your own risk.

6. Replays and other Website content

6.1 Selected examples. The replay videos on the Website ("Replays") show selected past FCPO sessions. We chose these sessions to illustrate how WickTap's markings appear. They are not a random sample, not a complete record of WickTap's behaviour, and not representative of the results you should expect.

6.2 "Real FCPO Market Data". This label means that the price data in a Replay comes from actual past market sessions. It does not mean that the trade set-ups shown were traded live. Unless a Replay expressly states otherwise, it does not show trades actually executed by us or by any user.

6.3 Ticks and RR figures are before costs. Stop-loss and take-profit distances shown in ticks, and risk-to-reward ("RR") ratios, are hypothetical. They are calculated with the benefit of hindsight and before commissions, exchange and clearing fees, slippage, taxes, data fees and subscription costs. They do not reflect the effect of margin, position size or the order in which prices were actually reached within a bar.

6.4 Limits of hypothetical results. Hypothetical and replayed results have inherent limitations. They are prepared after the fact, involve no financial risk, and do not reflect the emotions, hesitation, execution delays and discipline problems of real trading. No representation is made that any account will, or is likely to, achieve results similar to those shown.

6.5 Illustrative Reviews. The review cards on the Website are illustrative examples. They are not actual user testimonials, not statements by real users and not endorsements, and they do not show results achieved by anyone.

7. Past performance

7.1 Past performance, whether actual, replayed or hypothetical, does not guarantee or reliably indicate future results. Market conditions change, and a pattern that appeared in the past may not appear again.

8. Your responsibility

8.1 You are solely responsible for:

  • (a) every trading decision you make, including whether to trade, what to trade, when to enter and exit, and how much to risk;
  • (b) choosing a licensed broker and understanding its terms, margin rules and costs;
  • (c) your own research, risk management, position sizing and use of stop orders;
  • (d) checking any information before you rely on it; and
  • (e) all gains and losses in your trading account.

8.2 If you trade with a proprietary trading firm or under any third-party rules, you are responsible for complying with those rules.

9. Limitation of our responsibility

9.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any trading loss or other loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, WickTap, the Replays or any Content. Our disclaimers and limits of liability are set out in Sections 13 and 14 of the Terms, which apply to this Risk Disclosure.

9.2 Nothing in this Risk Disclosure excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

10. Acknowledgement

10.1 By registering for Early Access, buying access to WickTap or using WickTap, you confirm that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure, that you accept the risks described, and that you will not hold us responsible for your trading results.
